Lively and inspirational
As a certified (NT2 – Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) and experienced Dutch teacher, I like to engage with language learning in a lively and inspirational manner.
I speak fluent Dutch, English and near fluent Croatian and I’ve followed many language courses over the years (in French, Swedish, Spanish, Polish and German). Therefore I’ve not only gained insight in the structure and logic of many languages and how it resembles and/or differs from Dutch, but also discovered which language learning tactics and exercises are of great value.
Moreover, I find it important to put your acquired language skills into context and share knowledge on Dutch culture through watching excerpts of the news, documentaries, sketches, podcasts, music, et cetera.
My approach relies on blending thorough grammar and vocabulary training with exciting interactive exercises. This resonates with the methods Nederlands in Gang (A0-A2), Nederlands in Actie (A2-B1) and/or Nederlands op Niveau (B1-B2) . This communicative method for higher-educated students is particularly varied: it combines interactive exercises with deep grammar learning.
Did you know that we can:
– Drill those irregular verbs by playing tictactoe?
– Learn how to excel in Dutch smalltalk with “First Dates”?
– Become fluent in essential Dutch vocabulary by Finding Waldo?
